Guess the scene, win a bag.

I’m in Hollywood for a couple of days meeting with some clients. In the spirit of Hollywood I thought I’d have a little contest. A few years ago I was in a movie with Tom Cruise (yes, I really was). If you’re the first person to guess the movie and the scene you’ll win a cool PocketWizard bag.

This contest is being held on the blog and on Twitter. So I’ll give a bag to the first person who leaves the correct move/scene combo in the comments section as well as the first person who tweets the correct answer.

The bag holds two standard PocketWizards or Two Flex units and One Mini. It’s very cool.

I was an extra in the movie Jerry Maguire. Many of the football scenes were filmed at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ – just down the road from our first studio. I was in the end zone for many of the scenes and was later moved to a section by the 20 yard line. Although I was pretty close to the field I’m totally indistinguishable in the movie. In fact for most of the scenes everyone had cardboard people sitting between the real people in the seats. The entire upper deck of the stadium was cardboard people. It was pretty funny.

    its Jerry maguire and the scene where he runs through the airport, gets in the cab and goes to his wifes house with all the people there and thats when he says it. if this is where it is supposed to happen, then this is where it is going to happen. Youi complete me! Shut up, just shut up!! lol

    Jerry Mcguire – from Renne > Cruise. scene : winner dude, lots of togs, slo-mo scene to the chicks house where she has a part-eh. walks in (still slo-mo). People looking, talking starts, line said “you had me at hello” – big hug, guests weep.

    so then the film is jerry mcguire, and the scene- lemme see sun devil stadium … man, I wish I had a copy of the film handy!

    going to guess, maybe it was at the end, when cuba's character jumps up on the rails after waking from being knocked out?!

    am I close? even in the right scene?

    When Rod gets hit and everyone thinks it might be serious he jumps up, eventually, and: He moves past Jerry Maguire on his way off the field. Jerry, casually thumps his heart twice. Jerry Maguire is overcome with emotion. He sits down on a camera case, head in his hands. Behind him, a stadium cheers a new hero.

    OVERHEARD FAN: I always knew he was great.

    Maguire rubs his face. Overcome. Photographers and others rush past to be closer to Tidwell.

    Scene: Meeting of divorced wives in the house of the sister of the character played by Rene Zellweger where Tom walks in looking for his wife (Rene). In the middle of Tom's dialogue, Rene cuts him and says “You had me at hello.”
